新作ゲーム紹介：「UEFA EUROウイニングイレブン2016」　欧州選手権をゲームで再現

　サッカー欧州各国代表の頂点を決める4年に1度の大会「欧州選手権」が6月にフランスで開幕するのに先駆け、人気サッカーゲームのシリーズ最新作「UEFA EUROウイニングイレブン2016」が発売された。出場24カ国のチームでプレーするのはもちろん、ドイツやスペインなどの15カ国はライセンスを受け、最新の代表ユニホームでプレーできる。さらに決勝のスタジアム「スタッド・ド・フランス」、大会公式ボールなども再現した。

　ゲームは2015年9月に発売された「ウイニングイレブン2016」がベースで、「ゴールを決める快感」「ラストパスの快感」「ボール奪取の快感」のコンセプトをさらに追求。今回は相手に体をぶつけてスペースを確保したり、空中戦を制するなどの複雑な動きも手軽に再現できる。ゴールを決めると新たにゴールパフォーマンスも出せる。

　オーナー兼任監督として、理想のクラブを作り上げる1人用モード「マスターリーグ」も、シリーズ誕生20周年の節目を迎えて大きく進化した。「下部組織出身」や「ムードメーカー」といった選手の特徴がチームなどに影響を与える新システムも導入した。選手獲得では契約時に選手が複数のオプションを要求してくるなど、よりリアルな駆け引きが楽しめる。

　PS4版では自分で用意した写真や画像を取り込むことで、自分が所属するクラブのユニホームやエンブレムがゲーム中で再現可能になった。自分で作成したデータをオンライン上で共有することもできる。オンライン専用のチーム育成モードの「myClub」など、他にさまざまなモードも用意されている。スペイン1部のレアル・マドリードに所属するウェールズ代表のエース、ベイル選手がゲームのイメージキャラクターを担当する。
